THEATRE 4 KIDS is theatre designed with parents in mind.
We know the never ending need to find fun and engaging things for your kids to do during the holidays. We aim to serve you by providing age appropriate, affordable shows performed during the day to entertain your kids, while delivering a great experience that helps you fill the holiday void.
Performed during the school holidays we want THEATRE 4 KIDS be more than just a show. We want it to be fun from the minute they set foot in the space to the minute they leave. We have been seeking out other ways to bring the space to life around the show so your kids walk away raving about the whole experience. On site treasure hunts, games and music are just the start of our exploration.
It will be launched in 2019 focusing the work initially in Brisbane's South East Corner which includes suburbs from East Brisbane to Lytton, Bulimba to Belmont. By presenting it locally we will reduce the costs involved, saving you money on trasport, parking and your time.
We cannot wait to create something you and your kids look forward to every school holidays.
THEATRE 4 KIDS (T4K) is the creation of Paul Adams, an award winning Actor, and Director of Small Crown Productions.
Paul has been the Event Director of local school holiday program Wynnum Wipeout for over 15 years and devised T4K in response to the numerous requests from parents looking for engaging options for their kids at other holiday times throughout the year.
Paul has worked in the professional arts industry since 2004. He has worked as an Actor on stage and film, has written a number of original works, and worked as a Director and Fight Choreographer. He has produced work for a range of companies taking shows into venues like QPAC, Brisbane Powerhouse, Judith Wright Centre For Contemporary Arts, Geoffrey Rush Drama Studio, Gardens Point Theatre and non traditional venues such as Queensland Museum Cafe and Roma Street Parkland.
His recent works include volunteering as Event Director for Wynnum Wipeout; Producing the Matilda Awards (Queensland's Theatre Awards Event) held at the Brisbane Powerhouse; Performing in Much Ado About Nothing for 4MBS Classic FM's 'Shakespeare In The Park Festival'; and featuring in recently aired Television Commercials for Suncorp and Queensland Health.
Creating T4K is Paul's way of supporting parents in his local area, while doing something he loves - Creating excellent theatre shows!!

Add a POP (a Play On Pack) to your ticket order to access a heap of downloadable resources such as crafts, puzzles and activities all based on the show, that kids can do at home to keep playing in the world of the show for the rest of the week.
You can pre-order your POP now and you will be sent the information to download it closer to the show dates, and because it's downloadable you can purchase once and download it for the whole family.

One thing we know is that not everyone can afford to come to a theatre show.

COMMUNITY CHEST tickets that you purchase will be added to the number we are donating to our community partners. Small Crown Productions is committing 60 tickets and it is our hope that other audience members will help us donate another 60 more through their purchases.
These tickets will be distributed by our community partners to families who are doing it a bit tough so their kids can have some extra fun as well.
There are two options - just a ticket, or a ticket and a POP.

Filled with music, dance, digitally animated images of the actual tapestry and a set made of fabric, this show was a visual delight.

Tweet Summers was Australia's first live theatre performance on the Social media Platform Twitter.
By following the character profiles the audience watched the story through the tweets posted in real time by the characters.
Based on Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' this story unfolded in one continuous four week long performance.
Tweet Summers was performed by five actors, with four living in Brisbane and one in London, England.

The Three Tweetle Pigs was the second Live show performed on Twitter by Small Crown Productions.
Based on the classic children's tale 'The Three Little Pigs' this story took some fun twists when it was revealed that the Big Bad Wolfe was a private investigator searching for clues in a Truffle Trafficking Crime.
This show was performed by five actors, with four performing from Brisbane and one actress performing while on tour down the west coast of Australia with a different production.
Contracted to the Brisbane Powerhouse, Small Crown Productions delivered a series of improvised story time sessions as part of the 'Power Kids' school holiday program.
Armed with nothing but boxes of thrift shop clothing Paul led the kids through stories made up on the spot based on suggestions from the kids themselves.
