Search for The Scroll
The rightful heir to the throne has been usurped from his kingdom and outcast by the new king. There is one thing that can save his Kingdom from the cluthes of an evil King.
A scroll detailing the family tree of the royals.
If he is to save the people of his Kingdom, he must find that scroll, and he needs your help.
The Search for the Scroll is out latest pop up escape room experience.
Children will solve a series of hands-on and code-based puzzles, from deciphering hidden messages to unlocking combination padlocks and piecing together physical clues.
Along the way, they build teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving skills, while gaining confidence through persistence, communication, and trying something new.
PUZZLES & CLUES
A 2.4m long and 2.2m high printed wall showing the lineage of Kings on display with the heraldic devices (coats of arms) is the centrepiece of this experience. Â
The heraldy on their shields and the line of province shields are all used to answer clues that open puzzle boxes.
One of the puzzles the participants encounter is this scytale puzzle used to hide a message on a stip of leather.
When unraveld it appears as a random scattering of letters, but when wound correctly around teh wooden staff it reveals the answer to open a puzzle box.
Our Pop Up Escape Rooms contain a variety of puzzle types to challenge the participants.
Our actors only give as many clues as the children need, allowing them the freedom to explore, discover, try, fail, re-try while working together and for an altruistic result.
HOW THEY WORK
The sessions will be led by 2 actors in costume who will remain in character delivering an immersive and interactive experience for your participants. No ‘drop and run’ incursions here. Â
Actors will manage the session and guide the kids through the puzzle experience though we require onsite staff to support behaviour management issues
Our actors adjust their delivery style to accomodate for different skills across age groups. They actively lead the younger groups who love the joy of discovery, having their ideas tested, and who are often using locks and combinations for the first time.Â
They will pull back and act more as a guide for the older children, allowing them to discover and solve for themsleves with the occasional hint as needed. Â
The Pop-Up Escape Rooms contain custom made puzzles and puzzle boxes for participants to work through.
Children have a lot of autonomy on which boxes and puzzles they choose to work on we tend to find that children will naturally break into smaller groups to focus on certain puzzles that interest them.Â
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
The incursion can be delivered in a space as small as a standard classroom or in an outdoor undercover area. We are often in School halls, which works perfectly.
Feedback from our other Pop Up Escape Room Experiences
I’ve never seen the kids so engaged with something that came to the OSHC before.
The kids thought it was fantastic and want them to come back and as a coordinator we all want that.
Kids loved it. It tested their memory and social skills, literacy and numeracy, active learning and communication.
