A New Partnership for Children’s Thetatre

If you’re on the lookout for something your kids will genuinely enjoy during the school holidays, then parents and grandparents, this is for you.

PIP Theatre will collaborate with Small Crown Productions in 2026 to bring a new series of children’s shows to families across the year. The focus is simple: creating high-quality theatre experiences that kids are excited to attend and parents feel confident choosing.

Artistic Director Deidre Grace says the collaboration reflects a shared approach to family and children’s entertainment.

“We’ve seen how strongly families respond to this work,” Deidre says. “Paul brings an exceptional level of skill and experience to developing and producing shows for children, and I’m excited about what this collaboration can offer families.”

Leading the program is Paul Adams, founder of Small Crown Productions. With over 20 years’ experience running school holiday and vacation care programs, Paul has spent decades working directly with children and families and understanding what kids respond to most.

“It’s a real privilege to create work that families can enjoy together.” Adams says, “I’m excited to be working with PIP Theatre to create shows for families this year and to create a new home for families to watch theatre together”

The program will include three shows across the year, with one presented during the April school holidays, one during the June–July school holidays, and one during the September school holidays. Each production is created with primary school audiences in mind, offering stories that provide adventure, laughter, and the opportunity for kids to feel part of the experience.
