Free Morning Tea & Play Reading

We recently held a free morning tea and play reading to introduce our new show, Detective Grimm: The Spell of Stealing, to audiences, particularly the PIP Theatre audience who aren’t familiar with Small Crown Productions’ work.

It was a great morning being able to meet and greet a lot of the audience and share the work with people at a pretty early stage. The cake was pretty tasty too.

It was awesome to be able to have some kids there that are in that 8 to 12 age group, that are perfect for the writing of this show, and to get some direct feedback from them.

“I’m definitely coming back to watch the full show.”

It was encouraging to hear them laugh and see them smile throughout the entire play reading with no costumes, no props, and really just listening to the story performed by the actors.

“It’s really funny”

It’s an absolutely family friendly, child-safe production. There is no swearing, no sexual references. It’s just all about fun and I cannot wait to show you the practical effects that we’re creating to represent magic on the stage.

The show will run from the 9th to the 18th of April and you can get tickets here:

OSHC groups can also enjoy a group discount for school holiday excursions.
